Sailing rules
1. Ice-Blokart stopped: an Ice-Blokart in motion shall keep clear of the Ice-Blokart stopped.
2. Ice-Blokarts Off and On the Wind: an Ice-Blokart sailing Off the Wind shall keep
clear of an Ice-Blokart sailing On the Wind.
3a. On the Wind Port tack: an Ice-Blokart sailing Port tack On the Wind shall keep clear
of the Ice-Blokart sailing Starboard tack On the Wind.
3b. Off the Wind Port tack: an Ice-Blokart sailing Port tack Off the Wind shall keep clear
of the Ice-Blokart sailing Starboard tack Off the Wind.
4a. On the Wind same tack: the Windward Ice-Blokart shall keep clear of the Leeward
Ice-Blokart.
4b. Off the Wind same tack: the Leeward Ice-Blokart shall keep clear of the Windward
Ice-Blokart.
5a. The right-of-way Ice-Blokart: The right-of-way Ice-Blokart has not to alter course so
as to mislead or prevent a non right-of-way Ice-Blokart from keeping clear.
5b. Faster Ice-Blokart same tack overtaking: the faster Ice-Blokart shall keep clear of
the slower Ice-Blokart.
6. Tack or Jibe: Do not tack or jibe if collision is probable!
7. Obstruction: Outside Ice-Blokart shall give room to clear an obstruction or rounding
mark or finish line.
8. Rounding mark outside Ice-Blokart: Outside Ice-Blokart shall give room to Inside
Ice-Blokart to round the mark.
9. Keeping clear of the course after a finish: every Ice-Blokart having crossed finish line,
must keep clear of the race course.
10. Scoring: Low point scoring will be applied. The first place will give 0 points, the
second place 2 points, the third place 3 points, and so on. The winner of the event is
the blokart with the lowest score. After 4 races there is a discard of the worst result.
11. Protests: Protests can be put forward until 60 minutes after the arrival of the last
participant of the present race at the jury. Protest forms can be obtained from the
race committee after payement of 50 litas.
12. Liability: No part involved in the organization and running this event shall accept any
liability for any accident, injury (even fatal), damage or loss wether personal, material
or otherwise sustained prior to, during or after the event.
13. Safety:
a) The safety of the Ice-Blokart and her pilot, including insurance, shall be the sole and
inescapable responsability of the owner or entrant racing the blokart.
b) All pilots MUST wear helmets and ski-type goggles.
c) For safety reasons safety belt shall not be used!
14. Instructions race committee: not obeying instructions given by the race committeewill result in penalty points or disqualification.
15. Language: the official language during this event will be English.
