Within hours of the release of the World Ice-Blokart championship entry form, Lithuanian blokart team has received its first applications for entry; at the moment number of registered entrants had climbed to 35+.
LBT has received registrations from Spain, France, Lithuania, Germany, Netherlands, Latvia, UK and Estonia with Lithuania dominating the fleet.
Only four participants have entered One ton division, so ton‘ers need only one more pilot to form their division. We have the same situation in Lightweight division as only 3 Lightweights have registered at current time. Minimum 5 pilots are needed to form the weight division if not they will be transferred to the other nearest division.
At the moment ice conditions are perfect. Ice thickness at Rekyva lake is 22 cm with 5 cm snow, at the Curonian lagoon – 20 cm with no snow. That thick ice should stay sailable until start of march, depending on snow conditions.
